## Rules and Guidelines

 1. Remote participation is allowed (for all teams)
 1. In the past, only physically present teams could claim a prize — we took a different approach this year
 1. This is a game, play fairly — we reserve the right to disqualify participants
 1. Register at [ctf20.bsidestlv.com](https://ctf20.bsidestlv.com); you must be registered to participate
 1. Each team may be made of one or more individuals
 1. Most web challenges use a sticky cookie called `BSidesTLV` — make sure to work with sessions
 1. Hourly cleanup of large and old files for persistency challenges
 1. Team size is limited to 20
 1. Scoreboard frozen on the 29th at 18:00 (Israel time) — submissions still accepted but not shown

**Do I have to be a member of a team to participate?** No, you can register as a team of one member.

**Is the CTF aimed at beginners?** Some challenges will be at beginner level, some at expert level. Try solving from the lower scores working up.

**Are there binary exploitation challenges?** Yes. Yes there are.

**What is the flag format?** Either `BSidesTLV2020{…}` or `BSidesTLV{…}`.

**Will you release the code/containers/VM after the CTF?** Yes, we plan to release our entire repo.
